There are a number of key innovations in Atlas’ site design, a result of close collaboration with the mobile operators and innovative development by Atlas. This has developed future-proofed designs that are 5G ready.

Atlas Tower Group’s fully-managed offering includes:

Towers

Atlas' innovative approach to tower design has been well received by mobile operators, who have been consulted throughout the design process. This ensures a solution that is fit for purpose and 5G ready.

Site sharing remains a key consideration for operators and local authorities. Our tower portfolio can accommodate multi-tenancy occupation.

The towers provide ample space for remote radio equipment and have been specifically designed to provide a safe working environment for access to the equipment.

Rooftops

Designs for the next generation networks require larger antenna than those currently used and existing rooftop infrastructure often cannot support this additional load. Working with its customers, Atlas has designed a range of standard rooftop support structures specifically that meet the increased demand of new networks and are future-proofed ready for 5G.

The same design methodology used in our tower development has been applied to rooftop infrastructure. Dedicated space with purpose designed mounting for remote hardware is provided together with a safe working environment in which to maintain the equipment. Cladding options are available to reduce the visual impact of the new infrastructure.

Small Cells

The growth of small cells will increase significantly as the demand for seamless connectivity intensifies. Small cells offer opportunities to fill coverage gaps where macro solutions cannot propagate and provide capacity solutions at targeted high traffic spots.

Atlas recognise the important role that small cells will play and the need amongst customers to develop a cost-effective solution that is easy to deploy on a repeatable, large scale basis.

Atlas’ team has experience in both the deployment and in-life management of small cell solutions. Atlas continues to develop its small cells strategy and works with our customers to provide an end-to-end solution that fulfils their requirements, is quick to deploy and offers a financially viable route for targeted deployment.

Information Security is extremely important to Atlas. Strict processes and procedures are in place to mitigate risks and threats to the information we hold and is proactively managed as part of our ISO 27001 accreditation.

Atlas has made it a priority to find technical solutions and innovations that will minimise its emissions and limit its impact on climate change. This is managed within an ISO 14001 accredited Environmental Management System.
